THIS WEEK AT CENTER SCHOOL

This Week’s Schedule

Tuesday, February 9 – Periods 2, 4, 6

Wednesday, February 10  – Periods 2, 4, 6

Thursday, February 11  – Periods 1, 3, 5

Friday, February 12 – No School

Student Led Conferences

Wednesday, February 10 - 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm

Thursday, February 11 - 3:30 pm to 7:00 pm

Friday, February 12 - 8:30 am to 3:30 pm

Student-Led Conferences are scheduled for this week on Wednesday, February 10th, from 3:30 to 7:00; Thursday, February 11th, from 3:30 to 7:00; and Friday, February 12th from 8:30 to 3:00. If two weeks ago, you received a green conference form, you are welcome to attend the conference with your student at the times that are most convenient for your schedule.  This conference is focused on student work and reflection.  While many of you have frequent conversations with your child about school work, the Student-Led Conference allows you to speak in the student's place of business while reviewing work and goals more formally.  This is a big-picture conversation about best work and hardest struggles.

If you received a blue conference form, however, teachers need to meet with you and your student because of academic concerns.  If you sent the blue sheet back to school by last Monday, the 1st, your conference time request was honored.  If we did not hear from you, we scheduled an appointment for you.  You should have received a conference time confirmation in the mail at the end of last week.  We hope the scheduled time works.  Unfortunately, because of the number of conferences being held and the number of teachers attending each one, we cannot make changes at this point.  If you would like to meet privately with a teacher, please contact her or him directly.  These private conferences can be scheduled after the break.

COLLEGE SCHOLARSHIPS

Update from Center School's College/Career Center Office

Please know that there are several scholarship applications and announcements available to you.  I recently updated the Scholarship Binder that is located in the school's Commons area.  Please take some time to thumb through it and take copies of what you need.

I am at Center School every Thursday, all day long and am very happy to help students with their scholarship searches and applications as well as 2-year and 4-year college admissions, technical courses and apprenticeships.  There are so many choices that fit everyone's needs and I'm happy to help students with their transition from high school.  All grade levels are welcome!
