Seattle Rep Intensive Internship Program The Seattle Rep has taken an alternative track this semester by offering an intensive internship program instead of the more familiar Advanced Drama course. Eleven Center School students have the opportunity to explore all facets of a professional theatre, as well as earn an arts credit. According to the course description, interns will get a first-hand look at what goes on in each of the departments at the Rep and participate in seminars and work on projects related to various areas of theatre management and production. Students will be able to shadow a member of the Rep staff; observe technical rehearsals for a show; attend preview performances and discussions; participate in an audition workshop; get an advance look at the plays planned for the 2010-11 season; and help plan a spring Gala, the biggest fund-raising event of the year. These are just a few of the activities that our students will experience, and we thank CSCA for helping to support this creative opportunity.

VOLUNTEER AT TCS Parent Volunteer Hours – Reminder! PARENT VOLUNTEERS AT TCS= 847 HOURS SO FAR for 2009/2010 There were a couple of CSCA meetings in February. If you attended any of those meetings, those hours count as volunteer hours for The Center School. Don't forget to advise TCS volunteer hours monitor Nancy Hom at skallywag@comcast.net of your hours. She will record your time. She also has forms she can send you to fill out electronically and email back, or you can print, handwrite your hours and turn in at school. Libby and Kathy have a clipboard in the CSCA mailbox with a volunteer hours log to enter hours manually.
SERVICE LEARNING Remember! TCS students are required to complete 60 hours of community service before graduation. It's never too early to start! Urban ArtWorks Seeks Volunteers Urban ArtWorks in SODO needs help painting (basically it is just painting by numbers) this week and next from 3-6 every weekday. Our kids are working hard, but we have a deadline next Friday. They would love your help! We love high school volunteers and always have little things that 'need doing' in the office or studio..
