NEWS FROM THE SCHOOL

Prom Report

I hope I can say the Prom was a great success.  The students were breathtakingly beautiful and handsome, and energetically danced the night away.

But the true hero of the evening was Cynthia Shulman who, when our dj had not turned up by 7:30 pm, found another and had him there by 9:15.  Meanwhile the students rocked to Riley Moffet’s Ipod mix and had a great time.  Thank you, students, for being so resilient.

Our thanks go out to the many people who donated their time and effort to make the Senior/Junior Prom a stunning success.  Parents donated food and beverages that were very much appreciated.  Anne Buzy Hummel designed a fabulous, recycled setting with a post apocalyptic theme for the Abbey.  It was spectacular.

Thank you to all of the parents who helped with set up and take down.  Amazingly, set up only took 3 hours (after a trial run of many hours last Sunday.)  And it was even more amazing that we had the whole thing taken down in 40 minutes.

Thank you to our staff chaperones and to Dr. German for your unfailing dedication to our students.  It was wonderful to see the respect and affection that you paid our students, and that they returned.  What a gift.

Again, thank you all so much.

xoxo

Thanks to all who have attended and help set up for a Neighborhood House Pary! If you spent some time volunteering to set up for one, then don't forget to advise TCS volunteer hours monitor, Nancy Hom at skallywag@comcast.net of your hours. She will record your time for our school. She also has forms she can send you to fill out electronically and email back, or you can print, handwrite your hours and turn in at school. Libby and Kathy have a clipboard in the CSCA mailbox with a volunteer hours log to enter in manually.
