Center School Girls Visit Microsoft Monday, June 7 IGNITE (Inspiring Girls Now In Technology Evolution) will be taking a field trip to Microsoft to tour the Home and Office of the Future, and experience cutting edge technology. Only one out of ten technology workers are women so IGNITE’s partnership with Microsoft will be a valuable experience for our female students. This year, some members of the women’s panel will be talking about graphic design at MS; this will be of especial interest to students taking Ms. Wyn Pottinger-Levy’s graphic design class at Center. Past panelists have included corporate and copyright lawyers, programmers, security specialists, networkers, game designers, human relations personnel, testers and representatives of many other careers. The IGNITE/Microsoft field trip provides great information about high tech as well as other careers in the corporate world. Please contact Ms Quintana with questions about this trip ♫ bbquintana@seattleschools.org.
