The usual request for Blast content, a reminder of the monthly ‘Coffee with the Principal’ meeting this Friday, and in honor of Read Across America Day (akaTheodore Geisel’s birthday), a little something from “Dr. Seuss’s Sleep Book.”

"What a fine night for sleeping!  From all that I hear,

It's the best night for sleeping in many a year.

They're even asleep in the Zweiback Motel!

And people don't usually sleep there too well.

The beds are like rocks and. as everyone knows,

The sheets are too short.  They won't cover you toes.

SO, if people are actually sleeping in THERE ...

It's a great night for sleeping!  It must be the air."

Coffee and Commentary

Meet with Center School principal Oksanna Britsova the first Friday of the month (this coming Friday, 4 March, 10 am) at the Center House Starbucks, for an informal conversation about the school.

Do you have an idea for a BLAST article?

We want to know what you know, and we want to know what you need.  Send us your specific content, or your ideas for content.  If you have Blast content to get out this week - please submit it by Friday at 3 pm.

Examples of Appropriate Subjects:

* School News

* Class/Field Trip News

* Community service, class, learning, college, other opportunities outside of school

* Student accomplishments in and outside of school

* Staff accomplishments in and outside of school

Please make sure you include all pertinent information in your item:

What? - a brief description is nice - parents don't necessarily know everything!

Who? - contact info as well as people involved

When? - of course! -  time and day!  or deadlines

Where? - important!  even if at school, say so!

Also, let me know how long the item should run - 1 week?  monthly?
